Dr. Archie Bleyer, M.D.
Archie is one of the world’s leading advocates for adolescent and young adult oncology. He is working tirelessly to effect much needed change in the way care is provided for this population. We are especially grateful to Archie for his long-standing support of Melissa’s Living Legacy Teen Cancer Foundation.
Dr. David Korones, M.D

David was one of Melissa’s doctors who not only earned her respect as a physician but her regard as a compassionate and caring human being. In addition to being a renowned brain tumor specialist, David has a special way of connecting with his teen patients. He “gets it” and we’re very proud to have him on our team.
Dr. O.J. Sahler
, M.D., FAAP
O.J. has been a champion of Melissa’s Living Legacy from the beginning. With her expertise in the area of behavioral oncology, she was instrumental in the development of our clinician education workshop, “Partnerships that Make a Difference – You and Your Teen Cancer Patient.”
Erin Baylor, RN, MSN, PNP
Erin was Melissa’s Nurse Practitioner throughout her bone marrow transplant treatment as well as her role-model. Capable, confident, and compassionate are words that describe Erin who is the epitome of the nurse Melissa one day hoped to become.
Sue Ogle, RN, MSN, CRNP
Sue wore two hats in Melissa’s life. First, as her admissions counselor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and then as a Nurse Practitioner at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where Melissa received care. She empowers her teen patients to live their lives as fully as possible
Eric Iglewski, MSW
Eric is not only an excellent social worker but also a trusted friend to all his teen patients and their families. His ability to balance compassion and candor make him an invaluable support during the highs and lows of cancer treatment. Eric’s rapport with teens is exceptional.
